Patterns are making a comeback: on wallpaper, on fabrics and, of course, on floors! Abandoning their traditional supporting roles, they are now ready to express their own personalities. Patterns are now taking centre stage, demanding full attention as main characters in spaces around the world.
A patterned floor brings a new dimension to the natural beauty of a wood floor. If you are looking to add a distinct elegance to your interior, the herringbone or chevron patterns will bring personality and style to complement any room. This trend is exactly why Pergo created two new ranges of engineered wood parquet: Sandhamn, perfect for those looking to incorporate a chevron design and Saltholm, classic herringbone and basket weave motif.
The Saltholm collection, with his herringbone pattern, will give your floor the appearance of movement, which helps the room feel more spacious. The design offers versatility and depending on the furniture, it can be either subtle or commanding. Chevron is one of the most popular patterns today and an interior design classic. This premium collection has no knots or cracks, allowing you to bring the very best that nature has to offer into your home. Saltholm comes in 3 designs: creamy, natural and warm brown, all with an extra-matt varnish. The surface structure is brushed to enhance the authentic look and feel of wood.
Pergo Saltholm parquet has the unique StayClean protection that covers the entire facing and bevels of each plank with a water repellent coating. This makes our lacquered wood floors extra resistant to liquids and spills and prevents dirt from getting into the joints and wood texture.
Pergo Sandhamn floors will add a unique character to any space – trendy or traditional. Combining a reclaimed look and an dynamic chevron pattern with an unparalleled ease of installation, they turn any room into a splendid eye-catcher. Sandhamn comes in two designs: natural an smoked oak with extra matt finish and brushed surface structure for an authentic look and feel. The variation colour is lively giving the floor a rather rustic appearance.
Loyal to the Scandinavian heritage, caring for the environment plays a central role for Pergo. From responsible sourcing of wood (PEFC-certified) to eco-friendly (REACH), energy-friendly manufacturing, backed by official certificates such as Nordic Ecolabel, the Nordic Swan.
Engineered wood parquet consist of 3 layers of wood with the grain running in different directions to reduce the natural swelling and shrinking caused by fluctuations in temperature and humidity. Installing (and removing) the planks is very easy thanks to a the PerfectFold click-system.
The face layer (2.5 or 3mm) can be sanded up to 3 times and is treated with a protective finish (7 layers of high quality lacquer or 2 layers of UV oil).
