Bistronomy in Improviste

Improviste, the restaurant by David Selen, enjoys a unique location on the fourth floor of a new complex with views over the racecourse in Waregem.
  • Location: Waregem
  • Country: Belgium
  • Project Type: Restaurant
  • Floor type: Vinyl
  • Range: Modern Plank (vinyl)
The concept is also unique thanks to the chef’s focus on “bistronomy”, or gastronomic cuisine with simplicity. The unusual concept needed an unusual ambience and design. All of the tables in the restaurant have views of the racecourse and of what is happening in the kitchen. Given the abundance of light, the interior has been designed to feature darker tones with touches of gold. In terms of floor covering, the restaurant has opted for the Pergo Modern Plank in dark river oak. This gives a rustic design combined with the properties of vinyl, that is resistance to scratches, marks and wear with the superior protective top layer, and the easy-to-use “PerfectFold V” click system. A sustainable floor fit for intensive use.
